This is only part of the whole "Civil War" arc, which includes 3000 pages distributed among more than 100 books that came out between 2006 and 2007.

Analysis of the full arc in portuguese: http://virtual-illusion.blogspot.pt/2013/04/civil-war-extenso-e-desaproveitado.html

BOOM!

Strong story. The ending was a bit weak, but given the premise I'm not sure that there was any other way to end it. Like most comic book "events" the story itself was less a self-contained story than a set-up for a new on-going story in the comic book universe, one that will keep going until the next "event" (or until fans or artist demand a return to the status quo ante!)

I didn't think I'd be as into this event as I was. You can imagine how easy it would be to hate the registration side, but I can actually understand where they're coming from and why they're doing it. I still don't completely agree with them, but their reasons make sense. I appreciate the conflict within some of the characters, and that the leaders of either side aren't blind to some of the consequences of their decisions. It's unexpectedly great to have Captain America side with the rebels and the way he goes against the government because he so strongly believes in what he's doing.

Considering the content, Civil War is respectably written and an all-around interesting read. The art is pretty good too.

Aside: I would've liked to listen in on Ms. Marvel and Spider-Woman's conversation when they were fighting each other!

Thought for sure I read this when it came out, must have just read summaries whoops

98/100 (2018 Reading Challenge)

This was great, want to read some of the side stories now to get the full picture. But this was still good. Even if what, no deadpool? The movie was decent enough but this was better. Maybe because parts of the marvel universe aren’t excluding due to licensing issues. Especially as the Fantastic 4 are a pretty big part of the comic book storyline.

“Thou art no Thor”

This is the main story line for the Marvel Civil War event. It will give you the important plot points, but you'd need to read the tie-in issues to get the full depth and breadth of the story arc. Fortunately, Marvel has compiled a reading list/order for their Civil War event. I've read them in that order and loved the whole series. Particularly notable is the incident that starts things in motion and the issues it raises for the Marvel universe heroes.

El evento completo es demasiado bueno. Super recomendado leer los 97 comics en orden!
