A delightful couple sparkles at the heart of this mystery.
What a fun read! Lucy and Will are such a great couple. Again Amy Rose Bennet gives us a sassy and smart heroine. However, I loved that mixed with her spunk Lucy deals with anxiety. As someone with anxiety disorder this really was a lovely detail- a person can be both determined and still have those feelings.
The writing is excellent, just like the previous book! There weren’t as many bookish details but I still enjoyed what was there. Also, in the previous book Lucy told Artemis in a letter that the valet had given her details about a matter, and in this book when Lucy talks to the valet she reiterates that. I never would have noticed such a tiny thing if I hadn’t just read the first book in the series. Love attention to the little things like that!
I definitely recommend this whole series! I can’t wait for Jane (and dare I hope, someday Detective Lawrence?) to get a book!
