I believe that everyone should read this book once, though it was written in the early 40’s; it still holds almost complete relevancy to this day.

i think orwell is an absolute genius, which is unsurprising to anyone who knows me. essentially, this is orwell’s satirical “fairytale” serves as an allegory to the russian revolution. shockingly (not), i found it current with modern politics. animal farm is a perfect analogy for jealousy, greed, laziness, and cruelty born of fear. that being said, this is a quick read that does not necessarily read as a classic. my only gripe is the pacing.
