Im not a big poetry reader really, that’s why I went with the audio version of this book. But I’ve been a fan of Lana’s for a decade now and decided it was time to give this one a listen.
It was beautiful! Lana’s reading voice is just as beautiful as her singing voice.
I did notice that the Audio isn’t in the same order as the the book but that didn’t really bother me.
My favorite ones were LA Who Am I To Love You and SportCrusier. There was a lot of emotion in the words and it made me feel a lot.
I also really liked Violet Bent Backwards Over The Grass.
I hope she puts out another book at some point.

- the worst published poetry i've ever read
- how did anyone like this??
- read like the diary entries of a 14 year old girl on christmas vacation in the bahamas who just has too many first world problems
- there was potential to some of del rey's ideas, really! but the poems felt so unedited, like she just scribbled whatever came into her head for an hour a day and then sent the pages off to the publisher without bothering to revise. poetry should be tight, every line and word intentional, creating a clear meaning or feeling. this was not that
- at least it was short
- some of the pictures were ok
- the "haiku" at the end were a joke
- so were many lines of her 'poetry': highlights include "i'm the crying crustacean," "SoulCycle you to death," and more
- 1 star i lost brain cells
