I like. It has a kind of a fairy-tale feel to it but not totally. Enjoyable.

I just watched the movie and it wasn't nearly as good.

even more whimsical and complex than i was expecting it to be having watched the movie so many times. ghibli managed to capture the heart of the book but there are details in here that are really fun, and i wasn't expecting it to be this witty, even if it's subtle at times. the characters are lovable and memorable. certainly a stand out among fantasy books, it's very original and a fun ride.

Ahh! Howl's Moving Castle was damn near perfection! I enjoyed every bit of the wonderful and imaginative world crafted by DWJ complete with all of its flawed and quirky characters. I sailed through the entire book like a woman on a mission and it held my curiosity until the very end which is not something I can say about so many of my other reads this year.

Although the story is a little different from the movie (which I absolutely love), it's a treat nonetheless. I highly recommend this one!
