Quite dense for such a short book. I very much enjoyed the topics it covered, it is like a primer for the idea of elite capture and how to handle it. Not necessarily geared towards giving answers and it does stray into the academic at times in a way that makes its point and purpose more muddled, but overall a good read.

A brief but efficient book that tightly accomplishes every mission it takes on. Like many other books on cultural theory, it names and elaborates on a familiar but insidious phenomenon, but does so through a focused and fascinating literature review (on epistemology, sociology, history, etc) common for popular nonfiction. With a call to action that manages to be substantial and specific while also being emotionally moving, Elite Capture compels reflection on several topics from several lenses while also showing a way forward that many can take on. I loved this book.
