This book had me hooked for the first 75% then kinda lost me after they got together. I got bored. Is that probably more of an issue I should take up with my psych? Yes. Will I? Probably not.

I don't love rom-com or romance novels, but this was cute. I hate books where main conflicts can be easily resolved by someone asking a question or by someone just stopping to say "wait, what?" And a lot of misunderstandings here could be resolved by someone just asking direct questions. Also, in what world does the pregnant mother of a couple struggling with money have the opportunity or means to take off on a 3-week trip (renting a cottage!) to a sleepy little town to relax? Ultimate fiction.

upon my second reread the five star rating holds. does it make any sense for me to call a book that had me crying for 2.5 hours my comfort book with my comfort characters….probably not but i’m going to call it that anyways
