Patiently waiting to see how the relationship between the two characters progress. Especially since there are two mysteries that need solving.

I LOVED this series. This one concluded the story and my only complaint is that the conclusion felt a bit rushed. Perhaps this wasn't selling as well as they had hoped?

I'm of two minds with a series like this. It was a simple premise with just a handful of characters therefore not ideal for a long ongoing series. On the other hand, they had just started to expand the world by diving into the lives of others on the police force. The front half of this volume seemed like they were poised for a few more, but the last three chapters rushed a conclusion. It was still a satisfying conclusion because they had been laying the groundwork for that conclusion all along. I just wasn't quite ready for it to end.

I would have never guessed this story would wrap up like this. I like that overall the mystery was wasn’t drawn out over a long time and how the ending gives a glimpse of what’s next for these characters based on their feelings. I don’t think I was prepared for it to be over so fast though. It was a good series I would read it again to see what I notice now that it’s clear who did it
