The animals inside of the book request that the reader, "Please, open this book!" It reminds me of Willems' "We're in a Book!" or Novak's book "The Book with No Pictures". I liked that the whole book was used, even the back cover to tell the story.

Original story, children will like how the characters interact with them

Fun meta-read about not getting to the end of the book, but not different enough from "The Monster at the End of This Book" or "We Are In a Book."

So many books have used this technique and done it better. The animals were cute, but this book was just not good enough to keep me from slamming it shut.

Fun metafiction picture book that makes kids think about what happens to characters after you close a book.

So fun! A laugh out loud meta picture book with the animal Characters begging you not to close the book again and leave them I the dark. Feels interactive for kids, similar to great titles to pair with like Help, We Need a Title, We Are in a Book, & Let's Play.

Funny story to make children laugh. Expect the listener to say - again!
