Book seven in the series addresses bringing the realms kicking and screaming into the 21st century, mostly focusing on trade. It addresses several other issues that have arisen in the series thus far as well. It almost reads as if it is the last book in the series but fortunately we are assured in the author’s notes at the end that there are three more books to come.

This book is a fun read as we learn more about the power and magic. Autumn and Aysha play a prominent role and Niki has plenty of problems to deal with. The book is a reflection on dealing with change and the necessity of not becoming stuck in a rut. It was a bit different from the previous books but very enjoyable.

There's so much going on that it can be hard to keep track of plot threads and characters. I still don't understand the artifact on the anvil or Caitlin's box. Shouldn't there be some kind of restriction or consequence for using the time travel stuff? Because otherwise it's just a convenient plot device. I was also a little bit upset by the mention of
Who Moved My Cheese, because that damn book has been wielded extensively in the tech industry as a gaslighting too for mass layoffsl
. That said, I love the characters and premise so am looking forward to what happens next.

Brilliant book.

I so enjoyed this book. I have enjoyed the series as a whole, and this was no exception. I liked the building of the recorders office - that Nikki was bringing it forward and making it better. I loved the character building for some of the side characters. Dola is a firm favourite.

At this moment, Linzi Day is one of my favourite writers. This book was better than its summary, and I downloaded because I enjoyed the rest of the series, and I am so happy I did. Excellent, brilliant - everyone should read it!

another cracker!

I don’t know how to discribe this book other than it being just another cracker. Book 7 didn’t disappoint and gutted that we have to wait for book 8. Saying that, it’s not left on an epic cliff hanger. We just love our characters and always want more. The curve balls in this book were quite good. I’m just so glad they are books that are long enough to sink into.

Such fun!

I really love this series! The characters are compelling and the storyline is unique. The magic is fun, but there is also the potential for peril. I highly recommend them.
