I got this as "read now" on Netgalley and kind of wishing I didn't. It was simultaneously a mindf*ck and hard to understand at the same time.

Oh how I am glad that I don't live in this author's head.

This is my first Christina Sng, and I’m very excited to get to more of her work. However, I wasn’t a fan of the first half/third of this collection. The science fiction poetry at the end was glorious, and honestly, I’d love a full collection like that. I feel the poetry in the middle (the princess poems) didn’t show enough of the beauty of her words.

I still recommend this book, and I will be picking up more of Sng’s poetry collections!

Thanks to NetGalley and Interstellar Flight Press for this advanced review copy!

A small poetry collection that gave me inspiration to write stories about monsters and people in towers, much more than spoke to me about life. I really enjoyed it and I hope to read more from the author in the future. Some of my favourite poems were 'Escape', 'A Better World', 'Fears', 'Electroconvulsive Therapy Session One' and 'The Graveyard'.
