Why didn't anyone tell me about how funny this novel is? I'd have read it much sooner.

Obviously one of my favourite books ever AND my A Level lit text, re-reading it after so long was really nice. Had fun noticing the bits of shade Austen threw here and there about the society of the time. Surprised that my lit teacher never brought up (or perhaps she did; I just don't remember) that this was published in the midst of the Napoleonic wars. Always a delight to read this again.
