This is maybe a 2.5? I almost DNF'd this. I thought the beginning was so boring and the author didn't do much to develop the characters in a way that made me care about them, at all.

It's a second chance story with a dual timeline but the past, again, doesn't do much to set up a reason for me to care about their future. The story is set up to be very cute but fell flat for me.

3.5 stars - this one started a bit slow for me (mostly bc we were balancing 3 timelines and apparently that is too much for my pea brain??) but once I hit the halfway point I really couldn’t put it down.  I actually wish we would’ve had more story from the fallout in their younger years to see how Kathleen struggled but I do thing the current timeline story painted a good enough picture of it all.  Harriet was frustrating at times, I could’ve used more musical details but overall I am a sucker for a good second chance love story

Wish more people apologized to her, but like it’s a great book anyway

This was so incredible until about 3/4 of the way through when it started having major Wattpad fanfic energy. Last few chapters was the embodiment of “and everyone clapped.” HOWEVER (comma) the theatre kids will be pleased.
