Truly magical! A book you’ll fly through! That’s the thing about a book about emotions I think. Forming a bond with the characters is inevitable.

Can someone just tell UK publishers to stop making bricks. This one was so bricky, it almost fell apart at the glue part. It’s impossible to read without. Now it has permanent opening damage and it stands permanently open on the pages that almost were broken off.

Wow this book takes a turn. It's all sweet and floury and about Cherry helping people for the first half and it was cute. It did feel like a story I'd read before even though I haven't, but then.... oh then. It takes a turn to the dark side!
there's human experiments, electrocution, eyes being gauged out, people having their feeling ripped from them, actual monsters and people being torn limb from limb, escapees on the run. It gets horrific, but there is kinda a hint in the first chapters when Peter gets taken away.
but it kinda ends well, or at least hopefully and it is quite imaginative. So yeah pretty good.

This book really really needed a better editor I think.

Edit to add because I wrote this around midnight and now it’s morning and I have more coherent thoughts:
I think the author definitely has the potential but this book reads like the second draft of a debut novel, when it is neither. This book would have been much better with a better editor (I swear I wanted to start editing it myself!). Repeated sentences, commas missing, clunky phrasing, one time I noticed a sentences that was long and had two buts, without any commas. Very annoying. The dialogue often read like the things I wrote when I was fifteen and writing fanfiction.

I enjoyed the premise, but the execution did not live up to its full potential.
