This is the kind of story where none of the characters are made to be liked. This is a horror story that happens way too frequently in real life. And the kicker is that Rafi doesn't even get the help she needs in the end.

Which, speaking of, the ending blew my mind and creeped me out even more! Like... I hate this story but Peñaflor did an excellent job writing it!

If the narrator was supposed to make Rafi unlikable, she did an outstanding job! I found her soo annoying. I understand that she was profoundly mentally ill and had a crap lot in life, but it frustrated me that no one seemed to try to help her besides sending her to counseling, which was obviously not enough. Even in the end, she didn't seem to get proper mental health care!

It was an okay book, and I get that the narrator was HIGHLY unreliable, and I would have liked someone else POV.
