Man this book was SO MUCH CREEPIER than I expected. But good creepy. Like a fairy tale horror that keeps you on your toes and questioning everything that happens.

I loooove this take on the 12 dancing princesses, it has really cool twists and even though I somewhat predicted what would happen I was still surprised over and over. And as always, I love a happy ending 😭💖

Hands down the best read of the year!

This book is so so good. It's so dark and twisty but so good. Very much reminds me of The haunting of hill house vibes.

This was a solid enjoyable spooky read! I liked the unreliable narrator, atmosphere, and premise. The romance fell a bit flat for me, though. This book isn’t ground-breaking or incredible, but it was fun

4.5 stars and just because I was a bit slow reading this ( which is totally my fault and I know it, but it made the story a bit hard to put together for me)
I loved the slight horror aspect, the plot twists at the end and the bit of love which was just the right amount to not be the focus of the book but important enough to care.

I love how unique and twisted this story was. Despite this being a retelling of a fairy tale, Craig made this one of her own. Lots of exploration, especially with the violent / gore ish parts of the novel ! I enjoyed the red herrings and occasional side plots, not making the obvious person the obvious choice right away. Although a little wordy and could have been reduced by a few pages, the ending was such a sweet way to close the book. There were a few deaths that I wish didn’t happen but the love story that happens was enough to help me push through.
