God, this was bad.

I'm so fucking confused. I knew this was going to be bad, but I didn't know how confused I'd be by the end. Maybe it's me since no one else has talked about it in their reviews:

- the witches were behind the twins amnesia and turning them mortal. Got it. But why? All I hear is that the twins had too much power as goddesses and they needed to be dowsed. Got it. But what made them think the twins needed dowsed at this point in time? When Vittoria was telling Emilia all her secrets, all she said was that "something happened and only blood and hair were left when I went looking for you and then a trap was set to catch me." But.. What motivated the witches at that point in time to replace their hearts? I don't fucking get it. The simultaneous curses of the twins and Wrath's was so goddamn confusing, too, that didn't help this horribly explained plot hole.
- many have stated this in their reviews, but what did Sursea gain by giving Wrath a way out of her curse? I have no earthly clue. Shitty writing. Seemed really one-sided to me: Wrath gets a chance to break his curse, with the consequence of Sursea being banished. What does she gain here if he doesn't? Endless pride? It doesn't make sense.
- Was Wrath's curse placed before he met Emilia as a goddess or after? I'm so confused. Why did the curse prevent him from telling her who she is and who he is when his curse had nothing to do with Emilia? IM SO FUCKING CONFUSED SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME

Beyond being utterly fucking confused, I was absolutely fucking disgusted that in order to break a man's curse, a demon's curse, a person's curse, Emilia had to give up all her power. How does this make fucking sense? She has to give up her whole freaking reason for living as a goddess of fury for a man/demon/person? WTF. Another Throne of Glass mishap and I honestly threw the book down onto my couch in fury during this scene. And then to minimize her fucking huge sacrifice, she not only brushes it off has "a small part of her" and something she can live without, but then Wrath gives her his fire power and now everything is all hunky dory? WTF.

This was also a blatant rip off of ACOMAF and Feyre and Rhysand are Emilia and Wrath with more hideously written sex scenes that we never needed to be replicated. The most powerful of them all, wings, fucking mates and "my lady," really badly written smut, horniness all day everyday and no actual intimacy, soap opera drama and cringey dialogue between all the characters ("kneel before the king" "I'm going to let them know they can't slight me bc I'm important," all the colloquialisms and curse words said by modern teenagers that have no business in this ancient underworld setting- but was it ancient? Never got a time frame).

Also, the "Feared" (Emilia and Vittoria) were goddesses long before the Princes came and correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't goddesses a lot more freaking powerful and higher up the food chain than mere princes? Shouldn't Wrath have been kneeling before Emilia this whole time? It was honestly so ridiculous to see a goddess be expected to kneel before a prince/king. The Princes should've been supplicating themselves! I didn't understand why they were called the Feared anyway. Sure, they're vengeance and terror, but it seemed like the men, the Princes, usurped them and decided they were better than these literal goddesses. And the Feared never went to war against them or showed them their strength...so why were the Princes afraid of them? Instead of the Hell that the goddesses ruled, we have fucking Bridgerton now. This whole story is a fucking LAUGH WTF.

God, this was so fucking bad. I'm done.

The sad thing is that the Pride, Lucia, and Vittoria triangle is very intriguing and with spinoffs planned, it's tempting to read them. But if the author is going to write like this.. Idk if I can do it again.

Happy reading, Goodreads fiends.

DNF at 50%, I could not read another sentence about cooking.

I'm sorry if I want to read a cookbook, I'll buy one. I really wanted to continue reading but I just couldn't muster the energy. I'm sorry for everyone who loved this book. Also, way too many plot holes that came out of nowhere.
