I honestly liked this novel better than the first Jurassic Park. I found the characters to be a bit more engaging and the plot to be a bit more interesting and tense. Overall and good read!

Definitely different from the movie, but still really good. I did a lot of digging for context about why the book was written the way it was, and found out that Crichton was pressured into writing a second book. This known, it explains why Ian Malcolm is still alive . The reason for the return to the dinosaur filled islands is different than the movie, but I did enjoy the exploration of what extinction means and the quest for unobtained knowledge.
