Mystery. Fast paced, lots of drama. Compelling characters.

Amusing. I mostly read it for nostalgia's sake. I did find the rather frequent Lead Ups to Amazing Revelation Suddenly Cut Short by Something Else rather irritating. It does drive the action, but to do it three or four times makes is seem like the characters and/or the author is posturing and doesn't really know.

Just okay. I can suspend my disbelief for dinosaurs, but not for characters doing totally stupid things (there were quite a few). Too many Ian Malcolm monologues. He’s like a spice, not a main course.
