The book is kind of dark, but funny.  However, this is the basic history of Greek gods and titans, so there is not much that could change. Even though there are topics inappropriate for the target audience, the narrator, Percy Jackson,  makes the stories as appropriate as possible.  Overall, this is a fantastic read, and I recommend it to all.
