This was such an emotional read. Lilian really takes you on a journey with this story. Hudson and Hadleigh's story was full of angst, secrets and even some heart break. When Hudson disappeared, Hadleigh never stopped believing he was coming back even though others told her it was time to move on. So, when he did and he didn't remember her?! All of the feelings hit. I felt like I was on edge and the more I read the more I wanted them to get the second chance they deserved.

Hadleigh and Hudson have been together for about a decade and they are crazy in love with each other.
While she’s a teacher and everything good. He’s a criminal lawyer who works with the mob. Their marriage seems picture-perfect. Yet he has a past that will catch up to him while being a criminal lawyer.
Hadleigh came from an abusive marriage while Hudson had an abusive childhood. These two have been through the works but their love for each other is powerful. Does love really conquer all when secrets are involved?
This book broke my heart and put it back together so beautifully. From the spicy scenes with Hudson's possessiveness and dirty mouth. To the betrayals, twists, and turns. I could not put this book down! I devoured it in a couple of hours.
The whole speech Patrick gave talking about Hadleigh made me cry! “So, whatever the hell is going on, we’re gonna figure it out and help you remember, because that woman was the love of your life.”
“I don’t know if you believe in soulmates, Hadleigh, but I know you’re mine.”

Ok I think I just unlocked a new trope I love to read! Amnesia…never read one of them before and this one just blew me outta the park. I didn’t know how well I was going to like this trope but I must say, it is so much more than I expected.
Hudson and Hadleigh are madly in love, soulmates, the type of couple that everyone wants to be. To have the love they have for each other. But sadly that all disappears. Gosh does that put your heart through the ringer. You can’t help but feel the pain Hadleigh goes through. I felt like I was right there with her, hoping she get good news.
So naturally after your heart gets put through that ringer, you get thrown another lol. I don’t want to give anything away with that. But if she wasn’t put through enough, she gets put in the middle of best friends. But don’t worry, there is no cheating in this story.
I have to say, the suspense and twists in this story will leave you shocked and screaming at your book! But goodness, the love story is just beautiful! Gotta love a good soulmate’s storyline.
This was an absolute Top Read of 2023 before I even finished the book!! Everyone needs to read this story.
