This book came highly recommended but it just didn't really do it for me.
Percy is the heir to a dukedom and there's a big secret about to come out that will disinherit him from the line of succession- which he's totally cool with. However he needs to make sure he shores up a living for after he loses it all. So he hires Kit Webb, ex-highway man turned coffee shop proprietor, to help him steal a book that will help Percy blackmail his father.
I love Cat Sebastian but this just wasn't it for me. Cat does romance and character over plot like a master and this was just so plot heavy without a believable romance from the MCs. I just didn't feel a ton of chemistry from them. It was also disappointing we never even scratched the surface of Kit being pansexual. It's never addressed and we just move on. It would have been nice to see more from there.
This was really a 3 1/2 star for me and I rounded up. The 2 encounters of the book were spicy but they happened to infrequently. They don't kiss until the 50% mark
