Okay, what even. Huh.

First- the ending. The freaking ending! After every crap and trouble that has happened, protagonist just left it at that?? I don't understand. And it seemed like it was rushed. Like, okay-so-problem-goes-here-and-more-problem-there-plus-some-other-crap-and-ohthisneedstobefinisheditshouldendalreadyokaythishappensnowtheend. That's unreasonable, it's not even a happy or sad ending. It just ended.

Second- the middle part of the story. I don't see the point with its ending. It didn't make sense. Everything happened for a reason, and the reason was: just for it to happen.

Lastly- this book didn't hold my interest for so long. The beginning was somehow fun, and the story concept was unique, however some parts of it were dragged to be long and a little boring.

Overall, it was a great read. Nice bumping into this.

Damnit Lauren... I liked the first book in the series. And I also liked this one... in the beginning. In the middle of the book Eureka started doing weird things and her character changed to a not-so-likeable character with thougts I just could not understand.. And then the end.. It was just terrible... Although I liked the part where she tries to climb up in Atlas' body/soul but that's the only thing. I also wanted more adventures in Atlantis and I wanted to know more about Atlantis like what jobs do they have there, are there restaurants, what do they serve, what sorts of people live there... Conclusion: it started well but from the middle to the end it only went down...

It’s a nice book, but I found the ending not as spectacular as I had imagined. It felt a bit rushed at the end. However, I love the character development in this book.

Today I’m covering the second (or so it seems) book in the teardrop series. Let me elaborate. When I got this series I knew it was a trilogy, but as a year and even more has passed and a new book hasn’t been published, adding that the author published a new book in her Fallen series and after such ending there’s there’s no way for a third book, if of course Ms. Kate either makes a damn cliché or changes the main character. But so far I’m in love with this trilogy only because it ended that way.

I apologize before hand because I might drop a major spoiler, but I’ll try to write around it, so I do not spoil anything. The book starts where we were left in the previous one. Eureka cried and the flood that killed millions of people worldwide had started. Eureka with twins, Cat (her best friend), her dad and Ander are in the bubble and finding their way to the lost Seadbearers – Solan. But he’s not the only one they will encounter, so will be the gossipwitches. Many secrets will be unfolded, so will be left guessing. Many lives will be forsaken, but many will be resurrected at the end. Happy ending? I wouldn’t call it that. I would call the ending satisfying and maybe even rightful. I believe hat is why the many fans are waiting for the 3rd book. Well, I’m not. As I’ve been waiting for a similar ending for many years. Don’t get me wrong, I love happy endings, but they’re too pink colored. There should be an irreversible sacrifice, and Ms. Kate just wrote it.

The more I’m thinking about, the more I agree with myself, that this book is indeed about love. The love between Eureka and … yes, here’s the catch, as after finishing this book I can wholeheartedly say that she loved Brooks more than she even loved Ander. You may disagree with me on it, but I highly doubt the girl madly in love would be choosing time after time her best friend over her loved one. She did love Ander, but not to the point of giving herself completely to him. And her last words are addressed to Brooks; she finally uses his name – Noah. I many be reading too much into it, but well that’s my opinion. I would love to hear yours!

Another thing that I want to pin down in my review is the writing. You all know (or those, who have been reading my reviews) that I’m a total sucker for details. I could see that just by reading the book lacked what is called description, but at the same time I could never read a book full of it. The author may not have described the damage, as I would have wanted to, but at the same time the emotions she put in every word made up for that. I know I’m not making any sense. Let me try differently. I couldn’t see, but I felt plenty while reading. I felt the devastation, the darkness, and the sorrow and in the end I felt joy. Joy, that even if some would not be coming back everything else would be fine. Or relatively fine.

I hope you will take up this series if you haven’t yet. If you’re still waiting for a third book; well, don’t, read the series now, and I believe you will understand me. Enjoy it to its fullest and don’t forget to share your thoughts below! Stay tuned for more reviews as well as promos. Don’t miss your next favourite book or manga! Don’t miss the short story this Sunday reviewed on my blog. Happy reading!

This was simply a disappointment? I liked the first book and hoped the second one would continue in the same way, but it didn't. It became very chaotic, with twists, turns and solutions that suddenly turned up when they were convenient. I didn't check, but some things even seemed to contradict the first book. It took me some effort to even finish it...

Yes I get this is fantasy BUT come on. Nothing makes sense. Realities don't even come close to connecting.

I really liked the first book and the characters are pretty decent. The story just...lacks.

And the ending. It's kind of a cliffhanger but how could Eureka come back from it. Like a soap opera I am sure she will be resurrected. Or maybe Eureka/Atlas will develop something with Brooks. Or is she wanting to be with Ander.

This review makes no sense just like the book.
