Wow. I’m speechless, I can’t think of anything else to say about this book except wow. It was emotional and raw, and I had to blink back tears at work and my safety glasses for all foggy. The characters were lovable and human, and the idea of wandering was so creative. That authors note felt like a punch in the gut, to learn that about the author made this book feel so much more real.

Beware of trigger warnings please. This book focuses heavily on suicide and depression.

Finch, a boy who’s trying to find the best way to die, teaches Violet, a girl who feels responsible for her family’s grief, what the true meaning of life is.
