"...what a feeling it must be, being loved by someone else exactly as you are, quirks and warts and all."
I found this romance to be quite adorable. I loved that the development of the main characters was front and center. I instantly loved Elle but struggled to like Darcy right away. By the end, though, I felt like I connected the most with Darcy. It had some great tropes! Enemies to lovers and fake dating - so fun! It's also a Pride & Prejudice retelling. I hadn't realized that as I was reading but thinking back on it, it's quite obvious. I mean, the main characters are literally named Elizabeth and Darcy! I can't believe I missed that! The steam was also very good. Definitely 18+.
My major critique was that it may have been just a touch too long. It seemed to drag near the end. The mom characters fell a bit flat for me, as well. But I will still be picking up the other novels in this series.

I had a lot of fun with these characters. I loved the pop culture references and the name-dropping of real places and restaurants in Seattle (drooling over these new additions to me To Eat list!) I even learned a lot about astrology, something I've never had much of an interest in, and am more open to exploring that now. So good job, book. It's set around the holidays, which I didn't know before reading, so perfect Hallmark Christmas movie fodder. Get on that Netflix.
My main complaint was (vague/general spoilers about character development)
NEVERTHELESS! I will probably read the second novel in this series despite not being as into it because it isn't an f/f relationship. So take that as you will.
