This was such a heartfelt and beautiful book, not just the story, but also the illustrations. The comparison of a blue fox’s 2,000 mile journey to the refugee and immigration experience was moving. A little didactic, but on issues that are important.

Fantastic, exciting adventure for older children, looking at ecology, refugees, mother/child relationships, prejudice etc. Centred around the survival of the blue fox. Close to perfect!
