Now that I have read all three books I can say that my favorite is the third, followed by this one, and then the first, but all were 4+ stars for me. This one was a slower pace than the first but still very plot driven which I enjoy. I loved the dual timelines and how the book was a sprinkle of romance, mystery, and historical fiction all wrapped into one.
