ehhhhh...stuck with you is a fast enough read, but imo it's one of hazelwood's less sumptious offerings. my main issue w/ this novella is the crux of its premise that lends little believability and affects my connection to the characters or the story.
a one-night-stand's all fine and good, but what precedes it and after in this case doesnt rly do it for me. i thought we're past the era of instalove? an instant connection's also fine, but there's a difference between that and being completely head over heels, stumbling-into-love kinda affair. i wish more was offered abt sadie and erik beyond the shallow get-to-know-yous, just so the reader could understand why they're so into each other. but there wasnt, and now im left a lil detached, scratching my head as to why so much fuss is kicked up between 2 ppl who barely know each other. like, maybe the one-night-stand couldve happened after a couple days of brief interactions at least, just so those 2 dont seem like complete randos, y'know?
and for a novella whose blurb includes the word "steamy," it's pretty underwhelming, which is ironic considering the fact that hazelwood's supposedly less steamy novels had hotter sex scenes than the ones in this...
i actually enjoy the corporate stuff and wish more was included, bc rn the novella's just stuffed full of sadie and erik's mildly frown-inducing interactions and misunderstanding. speaking of the main couple, erik's quite likable and i was surprised to finally see a dane character, but there was wayyy too much usage of "large" and "huge" and "big" relating to him; like, it gets old after a while. anddd god sadie..i was ticked off by how typical ethnocentric american she was in the beginning, which is ironic bc, hello, hazelwood herself's italian so whats w/ the mentions abt surprise over fine grammar or whatever.
this review's way longer than i expected, but bottom line is this is a fast, lighthearted read which couldve been more enjoyable if the main couple's connection was sold better.

I highly recommend allocating enough time to read the novella in one sitting. Between the pacing and the content, I believe that's the better way to experience it.
Like her other novellas, this is a romance to zoom through, interestingly out of chronological order, with lots of STEM style nerd jokes. In otherwords, great.
The character interests in this one are vocationally engineering, and hobbyist soccer playing and spectating. Unfortunately I'm not particularly into either, but the chemistry still makes the story well worth reading. Her other novellas' are more catered to my interest, however, so that may influence to what extent you like this. There is a bit of reader bonus if you read the whole series and know who the other friends are and the incidents of which they speak.
I did find the post-meet-cute misunderstanding in this one a bit more vexing, but the pacing is great enough that the discomfort is resolved before I could get properly upset about it.
Regarding the writing style of sex scenes, I appreciatethat they're sex positive and also very clear about consent and the parties involved not only prioritize consent but eagerly work for it and are willing to table sex in favor of making sure the table is set for consent. The negotiation of what acts to do that will get everyone what they want without pressuring or discomfiting is real well done and has a sense of versimilitude.
