The one where everyone tries to be John Dorney, including John Dorney.

3.1 Patience
⭐⭐⭐⭐
A lovely story that weaves fanwank with character drama and vivid worldbuilding three times over. Its unconventional format knocks you over at first but gracefully picks you up by the end of the story.

3.2 Twisted Folklore

Then this comes along and tries the exact same trick, except without any of the elegance or style, instead being a hamfisted snooze-fest that hits you over the head with what it's trying to say. It's soooo boring and the only story in the entirety of Stranded that isn't pure gold.

3.3 Snow
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The devastating yang to UNIT Datings yin. My heart breaks whenever I even think of it.

3.4 What Just Happened?
⭐⭐⭐⭐
The gimmick in play here turns a mediocre story into a really great time, but simultaneously can be really distracting (especially the self-referential transitional dialogue). John Dorney manages to out-John Dorney everyone else here and good on him! What a great finish

I think of all the boxes volumes of Stranded, this is my favourite. The episode with the cards that distort time were really interesting conceptually and had some fantastic Liv and Tania moments, although the second episode - an insightful and imaginative and exploration of how colonialism and occupation works - is maybe the best writing of this entire audio drama? I just thought it struck the perfect balance of searing commentary and speculative storytelling. I really loved it. All of the devices they used in this box set, including the reverse storytelling in the last episode, were really cool.

Next time, on relisten, I am going to listen to the final story in reverse. I love the risk take , feels like old BF but it got irritating to be honest. Just a little.

This is a good installment in this series, but the fourth story within this might be more engaging once the story continues on in the next release. I did appreciate the interesting reverse way of telling it, but I liked the previous three stories better.
