I had to read the book for a literary studies class and am overall quite happy with it. It's fairly slow-paced but the mystery part was well done. The story takes you on a journey through several different parts of early 20th century India, as experienced by an upper class Brit.
I definitely learned a lot and enjoyed the overall plot, the pace and tone are not my thing though so three stars from me.
