I enjoyed this story and it was a super quick read! I want summer/beach vibes, and this absolutely provided. I absolutely despised the miscommunication between the two of them, but the source of their conflict was so unexpected to me. I understand how that could affect a relationship, but it was just so frustrating to read them discussing it. Also, I do not like Sam’s therapist because I feel like she was unrealistic and that she treated Sam’s feelings with disrespect. Disregarding her feelings because was young was crazy to me and it also made me hurt for Sam. I also wish we learned more about Wyatt’s family, because we hear about how “broken” they are, but I would have liked to know more about why Wyatt behaved the way he did. Jack is a whole different subject in my brain. I’m so happy he was not the main love interest because the way he disregarded everything Sam suggested irked me soooo bad.
I did love the imagery of this story! The setting was *chef’s kiss* and I loved the treehouse. Sam and Wyatt’s relationship was cute in their adolescence, and I liked the way they came back together as adults. I would recommend this, especially as a beach read!
This was a sweet summer romance, wrapped up in a book. I enjoyed the flashbacks and the changes in perspective between Sam and Wyatt. In true rom-com fashion, it's obvious from the beginning that Sam and Wyatt are meant to be, despite a big misunderstanding from when they were younger. Sam's mid-life crisis (at 30!) reveals that she is discontented with her life and her choices, and she's looking to make some changes, and although it takes her far too long to realize what the reader does right off the bat, she eventually gets there. I didn't love the work plotline for Sam- her "big mistake" didn't feel as consequential as she and her fiance made it out to be, so that felt like a stretch. It isn't a groundbreaking story, but it is handled with seriousness that makes it enjoyable and feels like a fun escape from reality for a little while- just like a good vacation.

My review is probably harsh because I can’t express how much I enjoyed Nora Goes Off Script. This book is a light summer read, and I really enjoyed the 100 pages. I did enjoy the book overall, but I was just a little let down that it wasn’t as good as Nora.
