This book made me feel things, as it dove into first loves and the wave of euphoria and chaos that pulls you under. The chapters are very short and that helped me speed through it. Cute RomCom 😍

The premise actually made me think a bit of Sweet Home Alabama, but at least Sam’s finance Jack was dull and didn’t deserve her when Patrick Dempsey was sweet and understanding.
This one wasn’t my favorite and I really think it was the emotionally cheating while in a relationship.
I did really enjoy the character development, reason for the fallout, teen love reminiscing, beach vibes, and musical tie in!
I loved everything about this book. With the short chapters, this book was VERY easy and quick to read. I got lost in the pages and didn't want it to end. I am a sucker for dual timelines in any book and this one did not disappoint - it was done in a way where the reader learns about the past between the characters without the book focusing too much on their past. The writing was descriptive without being overly descriptive and made it feel as though I was with the characters. The romance is more on the YA than adult side, but it worked really well for this plot while also dealing with some more adult topics. I enjoyed reading as Sam found herself and figured out what she wanted to do rather than just doing what she thought others wanted her to do. Overall, the perfect summer/beach read that also dives into real life.

I LOVED that Sam and Wyatt got back together without Sam cheating on Jack, which is something I often see in other second chance romances and romance books in general.
