This is my most favorite book. I have read it so many times. I really am not able to put into words of why it is my favorite and that is frustrating but I will always speak highly of it.
There is just something about the people of Haggerty. I have read quite a few of the mystery series but the first book takes the cake.
I was able to meet Betsy Brannon Green in Boise, Idaho quite a few years ago. She was so nice and signed books for my grandmother. I am sad to say that those book disappeared when she passed away but I am in the process of getting them replaced.

I really enjoyed this book 2/3 of the way through and then it seems to drag on and on and on. I wish it would have ended at that 2/3.

It's been years since I have read this. I am pretty sure I liked it, but I can't remember...need to read again.

I like this series a lot. Another series you don't have to read in order (I didn't) because the characters in each book are interrelated but it's not exactly the same story.

I liked this one much more than I expected. I read another series by this author first and I was not impressed, but this one was good. I'll give this series another go. I'm hoping it stays good, but it definitely got off to a good start - not too sappy, but strong characters and believable plot. Maybe a bit too much with the way all the neighbors drop in all the time. I've lived in small towns and that is really exaggerated. I hope it doesn't get too cute or I won't continue the series.

Borrowed this audio book from my mom -- it wasn't as much of a mystery/thriller as I expected (there were a lot of slower parts describing the town and neighbors), but I enjoyed it!

Kate is forced into the witness protection program after her FBI husband is killed and a hit is placed on her head. She is sent to a small southern town with a new life, new clothes, a new name and a new husband Mark.

One of my favorite books! I love the characters, the mystery and suspense and the charming setting. This is my fourth time reading it at least!
