This book was hilarious. I had to keep reminding myself that I wasn't reading 'Adrian Mole Goes To Prison'...

This is an interesting read. . Th first period of Archer in prison and how he experiences the prison system. It must be said, it really is a diary. A list of things that he has done, eaten, and what happened. The occasional story of one of the other inmates that he has heard (all published with permission). Some thoughts on improvements. But with Archer's easily accessible writing style it is a great read to get some insights into prison life.

Interesting. Seems straight, but it's hard to know how much you should believe. Did the editor have a go? Did Archer fudge a few things for a better story? Did some of the prisoners lie?

Maybe the last at points, but I think not too much, and very little of the first or second if any, but I could be wrong. I suspect the Conservative Mr. Archer may have a bit more liberal a view of prisons after his experience. Still, fascinating book, I couldn't stop reading, and certainly worth the time to get a bit of an idea what happens when you're 'banged up.'

Really enjoyed this. Very interesting, thought provoking, and extremely sad at times. Sad to see not much has changed in prison life since this was written. Looking forward to the next book in this series.

Very informative. Some really shocking details about prisoners and how they ended up in prison.

I am a huge fan of Jeffrey Archer and this book was a complete disappointment.
After being sentenced to prison basically Jeffrey wrote notes on eveything that was happening to him, didnt eat prison food and.... yup thats about it.
This is a terrible book!
