This book totally missed what it was trying to be. Yes asher was grumpy, he tolerated olivia but that is a really low bar isn't it?!?! He constantly kept treating her as someone he could not care less about. The sexual harrasment was dealt with pretty badly on top off this. Like asshole you promised her she could call you, and what did you do?! NOT PICK UP. If i promised to someone close to me they could call me if they were in danger (in this case with a solid threat being there!) i would pick up the phone everytime, doesn't matter if we are exes, enemies or something else. I would pick up the phone EVERYTIME no exeptions.

Banter? Check.
Fake dating? Check.
Grumpy X Sunshine? Check.

What a fun, fast paced Christmas read! Set in NYC during Christmas time, Olivia is the embodiment of Christmas cheer and her boss, Asher, is the actual Grinch. When Olivia realizes that Asher is more grumpy than usual due to a breakup, she decides she's going to help him by fake dating him to make his ex jealous.

Olivia and Asher's chemistry was off the charts. The banter that they had was honestly some of the best I've read when it comes to a rom com enemies to lovers. I seriously couldn't put this book down! It did hit some heavier topics, which was actually a pleasant surprise to me, considering most Christmas books are just fluff.

All in all, a great Christmas read.

This book gave me all the cozy, Hallmark Christmas movie feels and it didn’t feel super cheesy either! It was a very quick and light read. If you like books like The Hating Game and love Christmas, this is a good one to check out

“He smiles at me, and I know it’s real. Because Asher is as stubborn as he is weird. You have to earn his smiles.”

How the hell did I just go to pick up this book and read for maybe an hour and finish the whole thing in one sitting… And why am I still up at 3am reading when I had plans to wake up early tomorrow, I don’t know.

Faking Under The Mistletoe was a boss, grumpy x sunshine, fake dating romance between Asher and Olivia. The two of them decide to fake date to make Asher’s ex think that he is happily in love with someone as she has moved on. It was quick, easy to read, fun plot with a couple I did really like. Asher, while being grumpy towards most (including Olivia in the beginning) was really sweet deep down and I really liked him as a main character for this book. I liked Olivia too. She was the usual female lead who loved Christmas, she was fun and witty and strong willed. She knew how to stand up for herself and knew what she wanted and was willing to go after it when she needed to.

I wanted a fun, Christmas romance and that’s what I got. I couldn’t really ask for much more and I do want to try out some of this authors other works because I did enjoy this one.
