I LOVED this book! It was the perfect Christmas rom-com, it literally made me laugh out loud multiple times and I loved the quirky characters. I’m a sucker for a good enemies (or at least a strong dislike) to lovers story, and this one kept me entertained from start to finish. Definitely recommend for anyone who’s looking for a good rom-com to read during the holidays!

Although I do feel like the story could have used less obstacles between the two characters’ relationship, I have absolutely love reading this book.

I was hesitant at first, not sure the writing would actually resonate with me. However, I’m very glad I kept on going because the banter between Olivia and Asher is so good. I have laughed out loud more than a few times.

If you’re looking for a cute and funny read with the grumpy/sunshine, boss/employee, fake-dating, and kind-of-enemies to lovers tropes to read during the holiday season (or not, I’m not judging), I definitely recommend you check out this one!

TW: sexual assault and death of a parent.

I was so excited for this. I mean... a holiday workplace romcom with fake dating? Yes please.

Then our hero said this to our heroine very early on “By creating some elaborate scheme about how we’re dating? As if I would ever date someone who I’m fairly certain has escaped a mental facility.”

I really should have just stopped reading there but... I didn't. Then there was yet another comment about a mental facility when again, I really, really should have stopped. Then I really, really, really should have stopped when our hero said “Are you having a manic episode?” to our heroine.

Mental health isn't a fucking punchline. All of these points could have been made without the tone-deaf comments about mental illness.

Olivia is a better woman than I am to put up with all the crap that is Asher. She has patience and even though the relationship was fake, still stuck by him for him to begin to open up and sort of resemble a human and not a monster. This was a very cute holiday read!

Sweet Christmas Romance With the Office Grump

Olivia is one of those joyful people who love Christmas and are incandescent with life. Asher is a terrible grump. She is his intern at a PR firm and organizes these wonderful Christmas events for the office. Olivia wiggles her way into Asher's life and finds the man under the grump. There is also quite a large portion of the story involving sexual harassment that is handled really well. Highly recommend. C!osed door.
