Really fascinating book - interesting to understand how the inner workings of politics works and to read a first hand experience of JWR.

I really wanted to love this book more than I did! I admire JWR for what she achieved, for sticking with her principles and values, and for shedding light on what Government is like from her perspective. What I didn’t enjoy was the repetition, time and again,  of the same comments and concepts. I’m glad I read the book, but perhaps I can’t truly ‘get it’ ( or have it truly resonate for me) as a non-Indigenous white woman with inherent privilege.
