this book positively delighted me. it's perfect for my tastes; set in 1920's New York, a diverse cast of characters coming together (found family trope anyone? yes please), and it's about a heist.
I loved all the characters, I thought they were really fleshed out and interesting and it was great seeing them all take their moment to shine.
the writing was light and easy reading (as to be expected with children's books) but at times very beautiful and definitely kept me engaged.
I loved having a disabled character at the forefront of the story and seeing her struggles not glossed over throughout, same with the young Black character having to face racism.
I don't have a single qualm with this book, I simply adored it.
