First things first, I love the cover of this book. The actual contents, however, were disappointing. It's been a while since I actually read this but I just remember being so mad about all the crazy decisions that the main character made. Maybe I'm just too stupid to enjoy non-linear books but I was also so incredibly confused the entire time. I didn't mind that the themes of this book were way darker and heavier than the summary let on, but the execution of those themes just didn't do it for me.

My favorite book of all time by a long shot - I have never written a review until now because I wasn’t sure how to sum up all this gorgeous perfection in a few sentences. So, all I’ll say is I crave a reread of this book like a blanket in the freezing cold, and my love of this book is so insane I have been caught rereading quotes when all I want to do is cry (and read this book apparently, which definitely adds to the whole crying thing). Certain songs and long drives shoot me back to these characters with unreal immersion and I almost feel bad recommending it because unfortunately you’ll never think about anything else ever again (sorry). But despite this, you must read this book because Shana Youngdahl is a genius and she has created a masterpiece that you would be foolish not to witness.

wow. lots of thoughts with this one. i love the non linear way of telling the story. i really enjoyed the 3 different timelines that were happening. the relationships and bonds were so incredible. i loved reading about scarlett and david’s relationship.
