It took me a little bit to get into this but by the end I was happily surprised by this story. I wish it was a little more angsty or had more drama. If it didn’t lack that dramatic problem I was hoping for I would have liked it even more. I did enjoy the main characters and that it was dual pov. I thought the supportive characters were pretty interesting too. I’d love to hear more about some of them and then see were Craig and Lorelei are with their lives.

3.5 stars! I found this to be really solid as a whole but it never totally captured me.

Okay so 1 please be mindful of triggers but afterwards let’s get into the fun. This is a stand alone adult romance however I highly recommend reading the young adult romance You’d Be Mine first as some characters overlap and it’s great to have the backstory. This is a friends to lovers romance with some spice. Country music industry and standing up for what you believe in is throughout this story. Also the FMC has Celiac disease and her living with this disease is included.

I wasn't able to connect with this book and its characters.
The plot was a bit messy, and had a lot of back a and forth that was quite annoying. It had miscommunication, and I feel like the characters weren't as well developed.
It took me a long time to understand how singing a song trying to raise awareness to the danger of weapons (because of mass shootings) would get her cancelled. It wasn't really explained; only later on, they mention that pro-guns weren't happy with it. Bu like..... I'm sure a lot of people would sympathize(?)
I don't know, could've been a cute romance but I wasn't into it.

This was cute and sexy but I dfinitely prefer Erin Hahn’s YA writing. Her adult writing style really leans on constant flirty banter and (imo) too frequent comments about sex appeal. I liked the friends-to-lovers storyline and the cameos from characters from her other books. It’s gotta be said though: she struck out twice with the name choices for her male lead - Craig, nicknamed Huck? Really not into that.
