gave it 4 stars, but IMO it's a 3 at best and that's being generous. Love the series, love the author... just giving it a higher rating to help him out. by far the weakest entry in the series for me. a quest that kind of went nowhere really and didn't seem very consequential to the story as a whole. mostly a series of inane conversations between MC and whoever was around him. As usual, the audible narrator was outstanding. 5 stars for Neil!

Even I had trouble following the shellfish conversation. That's going to undermine the new god's credibility for sure.

It's nice to see Clyde's limiter removed. It'll be interesting to see how quickly he can progress from here on out.

I've complained in past reviews about the author's inability to progress the plot, and this installment is no exception. It basically goes nowhere and accomplishes nothing, beyond introducing yet more new characters that we'll likely never hear from again in future books.

The author clearly likes to write clever dialogue, and this book is full of that. But if you're looking for substance of basically any kind, this book doesn't have it.

Really disappointing book overall. I'll be dropping the series here unless the reviews on the next book show the author has brought things back on track.
