Best mystery if the series yet! Thanks to Ohio Link I didn't have to wait any longer since that person at the library just won't bring the copy back fast enough. On to number 5!

If you haven’t read the rest of the series (start with Body Movers by Stephanie Boyd), then probably skip to the last paragraph. Light spoilers and just ramblings that will make no sense if you aren’t familiar with the books. (look for the **** below!)

UGH. Carlotta needs to find a better guy. Why did she stop Peter. Why is she trying to rekindle a relationship with Peter when she isn’t feeling it. Why doesn’t she care more about what’s going on with Cooper – even as a friend, he’s just a good guy – and why isn’t she leaving Jack the heck alone! He’s admitted he doesn’t really want Carlotta as anything more than just “fun”. (Can you tell I’m totally ‘shipping Cooper right now?) And why is Wes still being dumb? He’s written as a character you want to like but he just continues the bad choices. Oxy? Really????

Getting a little frustrated with this series because Carlotta needs to figure a whole heck of a lot of stuff out. There were some good moments – she decided to basically work a case in this one that the police didn’t have time to solve. But she also isn’t good at taking care of herself and is way too quick to trust Wes when he has definitely not been proving his trustworthiness. And while I can kind of get it, her father definitely still holds too much power over her choices. She at least seems to be starting to understand that…

This post is going to make no sense if you haven’t read the series, so go read it!

***safe from spoilers!

While I’ve been a bit frustrated with how things are moving in this series, I would still recommend it. I’m going to take a little break and read something else (I have read 4 this week…), but I’ll be back to this series soon. I’ll go 6.5 of 10 H (I recommend the series but this wasn’t my favorite book of the series – as of now, I’ll go with 2 Bodies for the Price of 1 as my favorite) and 4.5 of 5 H. They are nice and fluffy reads, which is pretty much why I’ve been reading them this week!

Carlotta is still making stupid decisions with the 3 men in her life. Pick one already. I want to know the mystery behind Coop so I'll continue with the next book in the series. They are frustrating but I keep reading them

There are some good moments in these books, but not enough to make them good books. Most of the characters are really vile human beings and I find it difficult enjoying a book when I don't like the main characters.
I ordered the first seven of these books and I'll read them but it's hard to generate any enthusiasm. Most of the male characters are misogynists. The female characters are spineless strumpets.

So far I've really enjoyed reading the books in the Body Movers series. Stephanie Bond writes with a a sense of humor and a tendency toward quirky.

What kept this from being a four star book for me was a single incident that left me feeling dumbfounded over Carlotta's lack of perception or perhaps it is that she is just so self-absorbed? If you're concerned about a friend who you know has feelings for you and is troubled, would you really invite the other two men in your life to meet you at the place where you are meeting this man (simultaneously)? Really, I hope not. And, likewise, I would hope that you wouldn't just ask questions about this person's well-being and not follow-through, especially when this person had previously been a good friend to you.

With that said, the mystery portion, although a cliff-hanger in this book, was interesting and well done. I look forward to the other installments and hope that Carlotta's character becomes a bit more evolved.

I'm really enjoying revisiting this series. In this one, Carlotta solves the mystery of how a famous athlete's charm bracelet gets stolen. Meanwhile she is out dating Peter, has a hook up with Jack, and is worried that Coop is drinking again.

Wes has to work for the Carver for a secret project for the D.A. He is still addicted to pills and starts doing work for the Carver, which starts out fine but gets more difficult.

The cliffhanger ends with the charm bracelet serial killer still outstanding, Carlotta's former coworker missing and wanting to kill her, and she agrees to move in with one of her guys for her safety.

I really hope she ends up with the guy I like. I have 6-7 more books to read to find out. ...

It did not register to me that this was part of a series so I borrowed this book from the library. I'm glad it did because this book had me laughing. I really enjoyed the way this author writes her characters. Although I found I was annoyed with many of them, I did enjoy the relationship/chemistry between all of the main characters. This one was obviously more of a filler since it ended on a cliffhanger. I cannot wait to read the next one.

This isn't my favorite out of the series. I like the first three a lot more, and the ending really left it off. I'm going to have a more in depth review on my blog and probably a video!

Once I realized that the topic of 4-6 could’ve been a single book and that she doesn’t pick a man until the yet-to-be-released 12th book, I tapped out.
