Character whilst worried about her mother in hospital says about her weight loss (Satisfying, even in crisis). I have an eating disorder and don’t fuck with that.

An easy read, sometimes frustrating though with references that felt wrong. Rita's ferns were called Dot & Ethel which must be an Eastenders reference, but 14 years too early. Also I'm not sure how many babies in the early '70s wore babygrows, judging by the photos of my brother & me knitted cardis and leggings were more likely.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and read it in just one day. The plot was too good for me to put it down. The best part is every single question and theory is pulled together nicely in the end, nothing is left unanswered so it’s a satisfying read.

This was a nice cosy mystery and gave Hare House vibes. Ultimately it was very mediocre and nothing overly special. This is definitely not a book I'd say you must read but I enjoyed it for what it was.

The story weaves through time with the perspectives of a group of interconnected characters. I found the perspective flipping very fun and it definitely made it more of a page turner.

Nothing just stood out as amazing, but it is very atmospheric. It's one of those books to read when it's cold out with a mug of tea.
