First time reading a novel by Duncan Ralston, though I've read a couple of his stories from Gristle & Bone (10th Anniversary Edition).

I enjoyed this. It's a fairly quick read but the tension kicks in almost right away. And only builds. I'd call this a survival/thriller (though not necessarily how that might sound 🤓) with a conclusion that doesn't feel cheap or pandering to the reader.

I'll definitely be looking into more from D.R.

I purchased the kindle edition yesterday and finished it today. Definitely a "need to know what happens next" story 😁
