Ok this was a great book! It was surprising and compelling and I stayed up til 1 am finishing it. I think this would be a good book for lots of people, especially fantasy lovers who want a clean read. I will say, to be fully honest, this book has totally and absolutely ruined lakes for me, and that's all I'm going to say about that. I'm going to go buy the second book right now.

This is a stellar debut novel. The storyline is original though I did find it to be a slower start. Once you get almost halfway through, however, it’s impossible to put down. This book is perfectly aged for the young adult age group and genre, though older people can read and enjoy it as well. I can’t wait for the next one!
