I liked The Mystery of Mrs. Christie. While I know that nobody knows what happened to Agatha Christie during the 11 days she disappeared, it was fun reading Marie Benedict's speculation. What I really loved was learning about Agatha Christie's life. She was clearly devoted to her husband and mother. She went against social norms of the day by writing and publishing mysteries. I also liked the format of the book, although at first I wasn't sure why every other chapter was titled "The Manuscipt." When I realized the reason, I was thrilled that Ms Benedict was able to pull the wool over my eyes for so long.
If you like historical fiction books about women that also involve a mystery, you will like The Mystery of Mrs. Christie.

Maybe 3.5 stars. I guess I like a girl power revenge story? I loved hating Archie and really would've preferred the more drastic alternative ending if I'm being honest. He was the worst. My main complaint here was almost nothing happened in the Archie chapters so it was a little bit long in that regard.

I don't know where I've been but I don't know that I knew about Agatha Christie disappearing? This was an absolutely fascinating story, Marie Benedict never disappoints. I am always fascinated learning about different historical women that she chooses to highlight.

Retelling of Agatha Christie’s true disappearance for 12 days. Her husband is a dastardly character.

Fantastic and fascinating take on the real-life mysterious disappearance of Agatha Christie. I really enjoyed the writing and the author's ideas of what really happened.
