I loved! quick, absorbing, with an engaging and frustrating cast of characters. very cool choice for the audiobook to include the sounds of sign language during signed dialogue — it’s a thoughtful addition and a good reminder that sign =/= silent!

interesting but the teens read as way too old for me (like the author wanted to write a grittier book/forgot what the early teens are actually like) and i didn’t really like the headmistress’ perspective
