ver the past couple of years, I have really taken a liking to cozy mysteries. They're not fine literature, but there's something about their simplicity and fast-paced nature that I just adore. I've been reading the Aurora Teagarden series for a while now, and this is book 7 in the series. I'm not going to do a full review of this with a synopsis, but I'll just say that this series continues to entertain me and never fails to get me out of a rut. ⁣

A movie shooting in town, step son and a exboyfriend. What could top Roe's week? A crazy stalker that's what! This was good but I think Roe moves to fast sometimes.

Bringing some old characters back is the best part of this book.

Charlain Harris has an amazing way of mixing crime and domestic life in a way that they both feel natural and entertaining. i could spend a whole day reading her stories and never get bored. The bad thing is that I only have one book left of this series :( to read and I am dreading the moment I have to say good bye to my favourite librarian.

I read this book on one snowy day. It went by quick and I’m glad I had it around! I don’t like how so much time passes between books. I always wonder if I missed something. Sometimes Aurora’s internal dialogue isn’t the funnest to read either, but overall, this book was fun.

Plot was fine but the heroine really didn’t grab me.

RATING: 3 STARS

In Last Scene Alive, we revisit the case from book one [b:Real Murders|31339528|Real Murders (Aurora Teagarden, #1)|Charlaine Harris|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1470196528l/31339528._SY75_.jpg|2047552], and Roe's ex, Robin. Robin's book is being made into a TV movie and he's in town for the filming. His girlfriend, and star of the movie, is playing the character based on Roe. When she is found murdered, people wonder if it's because they were after Roe. While I am glad Robin is back, or rather he is here instead of Martin, this book seemed out of place. It seemed like a way to reintroduce Robin, and oh, let's throw in a mystery. I was kind of hoping Roe would get back with Arthur, but I think that's because I like the Hallmark version of Arthur than the Arthur in this book.
