I was hesitant to read this one because I was afraid to mess with the perfection of Peter and the Starcatchers. But I was not disappointed. This book was just as wonderful as the first and still stayed true to JM Barrie's Peter. Fabulously done humor, adventure and interpersonal drama. Loved it!

My son and I read this audiobook in the car on the way to school for several weeks. It was scary and exciting and we loved it!

The entire Peter and the Starcatchers series will get 5 stars from me FOREVER. I’ve read a LOT of middle grade books. Seriously - a LOT. This is hands down one of the top 5 series! Peter and the Shadow Thieves is the longest book so it took us some time to read aloud, but the kids and I loved it! How can anyone not love Peter Pan? And Ombra was the perfect creepy villain!

I loved this book! They hired a new editor, and I only saw one error. The storyline was fantastic and kept me turning page after page. If I hadn’t been travelling, I would have read it in a day.

Peter must find a way to return to London from Neverland in order to warn Molly & her father that the Others are coming to take the stardust and use it to their nefarious ends. They have on their side a ghoulish monster that is capable of stealing people's wills simply by touching their shadows. A fun continuation of the re-imagining of Peter Pan by Dave Barry

*Warning: Spoiler Alert.
This book is by far one of the best I've read in a while. I read the first one in the series my junior year of highschool and I loved it, but I'm just now getting around to reading the sequels. This is just as good as the first, if not better. I love all the twists and how detailed the plot is. And, at the risk of giving away too much info, I love how Peter meets James Barrie himself, and how the Return is at Stonehenge. Just so many things are worked into it that lead up to the actual story of Peter Pan as we know it. Great, great book. I want to buy them all now. Highly suggest! In fact, if you don't read it....you're lame. Finis.

My 8 yr old loved this book, as did I. I think it's our favorite of the series. We listened to the audiobook in the car and both thought Jim Dale did an amazing job.
