Gotta love a good faking dating trope - cute and fun and not much else to think about aka a good beach read imo. Some of the outfit descriptions were high key millennial cringey and
the fact that Shepard was a bass player was pretty weird 😂 it came out of nowhere
. Idk why so many books have awful millennial aspects to it but if you get past that, this book is good.

probably one of the better fake-dating/workplace romcoms i liked, but not the best. i liked the queer diversity and thought that was represented well w/o any harmful/media-lized stereotypes. however, the sperm donor thing was uncomfortable bc annie was pushing it all onto everly w/o regard—however that has nothing to do w annie being queer (unsaid sexuality label, but wlw). while there were some potholes/gaps that didn’t make sense to me it was a good story overall and had a cheesy/cliché ending.

also felt like a weird take on 50shades/after but that might’ve just been me
